Terms and Conditions and Recruitment Process
You can contact us by registering your interest by application form, by phone, by email, or by messaging us, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.
We ask you a few questions on contact, to make sure we meet your needs and you meet our requirements.
Our officer manager will arrange an interview with you at our local office in Exeter or by Teams or Zoom.
If you haven’t already completed an application form, you will be asked to do so.
When your interview is arranged, you will be asked to bring some proof of photo identity, proof of address, training certificates, and your right to work (if required).*
At the interview, it will be explained in more depth how St. John’s Healthcare works for their employees, how a typical agency shift works, and what to expect.
If you are happy to proceed, we will get your permission to run the mandatory DBS check, and we will take your photo to make an ID Badge for you.
We will also check that you have given at least two people, if not already provided, as references.
Once all the checks have been completed and you have accepted the position, our office manager will send you a link to our mandatory online training and also book any additional training, such as moving and handling.
Once training is complete, we will arrange for you to come in for registration, give you your uniform, ID badge, run through any procedures and policies, introduce you to the mobile app that is used for remote communication, ask you to read and sign your contract, and welcome you to the team.
You will then be ready to work.
This process generally takes 7–10 days.
Documents required: *Photo ID: This can be a passport or driving licence. *Proof of address x 1 – This can be your driving licence if you are not using it as your photo ID. An official utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months.
